The most common standard for acceptable blood alcohol levels while driving in Western Europe is 0.5 ‰. In most Eastern European countries this figure is lower, ranging from 0.0 ‰ to 0.3 ‰.
It should also be noted that requirements for drivers with less than two years of driving experience are stricter in many countries, with a much lower permissible blood alcohol level.
