The Austrian Group GRAWE appeared on the Moldovan insurance market in April 2004 with the founding of "GRAWE Asigurare de Viață" SA. From the outset, its activity was based on providing life insurance services.

History of GRAWE

In 1828, Archduke Johann of Austria (the younger brother of Austrian Emperor Franz Josef I) - an insurer from an Austrian province, through great ambition laid the foundations of what is today the International Group of Companies in Central and Eastern Europe. Thanks to its productivity, GRAWE has expanded its activity to 13 countries around the world, including the Republic of Moldova.
GRAWE's roots come from a country which, over several centuries, played an important role in events that took place in Europe, such as: the 1873 global economic crisis, two world wars, and the sharp drop in oil prices in 1973. The events mentioned above did not manage to destroy the company, these being a tough test for the continuation of its existence.
