• Is the vignette mandatory in Europe?
  • Yes, the vignette is mandatory on national roads and motorways in the countries that apply this system: Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Czechia, Slovakia, Romania, Switzerland and others. Without a valid vignette, you risk fines applied automatically by video cameras, without the vehicle being stopped.
• How much does the European vignette cost for a driver from Moldova?
  • The price depends on the destination country and the desired period. For example: Austria 10 days — €9.90, Slovenia 7 days — €7.50, Romania 7 days — ~€3, Hungary 10 days — €10. The exact cost is calculated automatically in the form above based on your vehicle and destination.
• Can I buy the European vignette online?
  • Yes, the vignette can be purchased online for cars weighing up to 3.5 tons. The process takes a few minutes: you select the country, enter the registration number, pay and receive confirmation by email. The vignette is active immediately.
• The vignette is electronic — does it need to be printed?
  • No. The European vignette is electronic and is stored in the system of the authorities of the respective country, linked to your registration number. There is no need to print it or present a physical document at the border.
• From when is the vignette valid after purchase?
  • You can choose the activation date during the purchase. The vignette can be activated immediately or scheduled for a future date, for example the day of departure. We recommend not activating it too far in advance if you are leaving later.
• How is the vignette checked at the border?
  • The check is done automatically by video cameras that read the registration number and compare it with the national authorities' database. You do not need to present any document — the vignette is validated instantly.
• What happens if I entered the registration number incorrectly?
  • Contact our support immediately. For entry errors reported within 24 hours of purchase, we offer a refund or data correction, depending on the policy of the respective country.
• Is a vignette purchased for Austria also valid in Slovenia?
  • No. Each country has its own vignette system — they are independent. If you are transiting several countries with a vignette system, you need to purchase one separately for each. Our calculator allows you to buy a vignette for each country individually.
• What should I do if my vehicle exceeds 3.5 tons?
  • For vehicles heavier than 3.5 tons (trucks, coaches, minibuses), the road toll is paid through separate systems — usually in person at the border or through platforms dedicated to carriers in the respective country. Our calculator does not cover this category.
• Can I buy the vignette for a car registered in a country other than Moldova?
  • Yes. The calculator accepts cars registered in any country. You select the vehicle's country of registration and enter the corresponding registration number.
